Do I have to be artistic?
Absolutely not! Anyone can do it! We’ll provide you with directions, paint, brushes and all the supplies you need and you create a masterpiece.
Do I need reservations?
No. Reservations are encouraged for parties of 5 or more people. However, individuals are welcome to walk in during regular business hours, space permitted. Most weekdays we can accommodate you.
Is there a separate studio fee?
No. The price of pottery covers the paints, glaze & firing, and all other supplies and tools.
How long does it take?
Most pieces can be painted within 1.5-2 hours. But it all depends on how much detail you wish to add. Please make a note of our closing hours, and allow 1.5-2 hours before closing time to start a project. For parties, see guidelines in that section.
Do I need to bring art supplies?
No. All materials are included. Brookside Ceramics provides everything needed to make your art.
Are the paints washable?
Yes! All our paints are completely washable, non-toxic and lead free and safe for people of all ages. No need for an apron or art shirt. They don’t stain and wash out.
When do I have to pick up my piece?
Once we give you the date your ceramics will be ready, we’ll hold on to them as long as possible. We can’t guarantee we’ll still have it after 30 days, but please check with us. We have used a lot of pieces as display in the studio.
Are my ceramics food safe?
Yes. All glazes are free of lead and acid. Each piece is clear glazed and fired, making it food safe. Items are also dishwasher safe (however, handwashing is recommended to extend each piece’s life). Do not microwave!
Can I bring in food and drinks?
Yes. If you are hosting a party or group event, you may bring food and drinks (you are responsible for cups, plates and serving utensils). BYOB – grab a cocktail for those guests who are at least 21-years-old.
What payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover & American Express, CashApp, cash (exact payment) or Venmo.
Can you paint something for me?
Yes! We have artists who can custom paint a piece but must be arranged in advance. The cost for such items is negotiated prior to painting. These items must be paid for in advance. Please allow at additional time for these items to be completed.

What is your privacy policy?
Your information is not shared with anyone outside of Brookside Ceramics.
We collect only information as part of the painting process and/or communication process. We may notify you to make you aware of upcoming specials and new products/services but we do not do so through bulk emails/texts.
